My Best Running Playlist Yet

I have gone through quite a few playlists during this marathon training cycle. I feel like I need to add new songs more frequently to add newness to my runs. The playlist I've been listening to lately is really on point. It keeps me motivated and pepped up with some slower tempo songs mixed in. I've never been a Taylor Swift fan, but I have 5 songs from her new album on here because they are just so darn catchy.

1. Welcome to New York- T. Swift
2. Blank Space- T. Swift
3. All You Had to Do Was Stay- T. Swift
4. Shake It Off- T. Swift
5. Take Me to Church- Hozier
6. Secrets- Mary Lambert
7. Don't- Ed Sheeran
8. Stolen Dance- Milky Chance
9. Always Alright- Alabama Shakes
10. Jungle- X Ambassadors &Jamie N Commons
11.  I Believe in a Thing Called Love- The Darkness
12. Booty Swing- Parov Stelar
13. Style- T. Swift
14. High- Young Rising Sons   (Obsessed with this song!! I love the lyrics and the beat.)

Hopefully you find a new song to add to your running playlist :)

What's your favorite running song lately?

That's all for now!

  1. I recently thought I lost my ipod and my initial concern wasn't for the ipod itself but for all the hours of music I downloaded on it...lol. I love updating my playlist but it is so time consuming. I'm sure I will reference your list again! -M

    1. I would have panicked! Definitely takes time, I just get sick of songs so quickly.

  2. Sounds like you have really worked at adding new songs to your playlist. I am lazy, and only update my list a couple times a year. I definitely need to work on it before my February and April races! Thanks for the suggestions!

    1. New Year, New Playlist! I get tired/bored of songs really quickly.

  3. I listen to everything. I have a playlist with 5 hours worth of music for long runs. I originally made it for my first marathon back in March so I wouldn't listen to the same songs over and over. I made sure that they were upbeat and made me want to dance. I have to say, I barely listened to any of it during the marathon because I was so distracted by everything that was going on around me (it was a Rock n Roll Marathon so there was music everywhere). The only song I remember was Tunnel Vision by Justin Timberlake because it was the last song that played before I crossed the finish line. I LOVE that song.

    1. 5 hours?! That's awesome. On most of my other playlists have quite a variety of songs for different moods throughout my runs. I'll have to look up that song.
