We were so excited when we finished our run to see that number in the triple digits!
I began to reminisce on how we got to where we are today. It all started in January of this year. Em and I were out for a run and at the end (we ran 3-3.5 miles) we started talking about how good the run felt and that we could have run forever at that pace. From there the conversation lead to how we've always wanted to run a half marathon and that the runDisney events looked like a lot of fun.
I specifically remember tweeting after that run "It's amazing how one good run with a great friend can make you so optimistic about life #loveit" It's awesome to me that we have stayed committed to this goal and the fact that it developed from one great run. Fast forward 9 months and here we are.
This Saturday we will wrap up week 9 with a 9.5 mile run (that's a lot of 9's). Amazingly, we are super excited to take on this task, breaking through yet another barrier. Each of our long runs from here on out will be personal distance records for both Em and I.
Check back Saturday for a recap of this week's runs.
That's all for now!
